Lion’s Mane Teriyaki Mushroom Steaks 🍄
I picked up these lion’s mane mushrooms at a farmers market and couldn’t wait to prepare them AND get their brain-boosting benefits.
Lion’s mane is a functional mushroom that has incredible benefits for brain health and immunity.
It’s actually been shown to stimulate the growth of new neurons in mice, and human studies show that lion’s mane improves focus, memory, mood, and mental clarity.
Its polysaccharides and bioactive chemicals are also potent antioxidants that support immune health, lower inflammation, and have anti-cancer properties.
‼️ BONUS 💫 They’re also incredibly delicious ‼️
I tossed these in an anti-inflammatory glaze of coconut aminos, fresh ginger, turmeric, and garlic 🤤
Ingredients:
8-ounces of lions mane mushrooms
1/8 c coconut aminos
1 tsp olive oil
1 tsp fresh ginger
1 tsp fresh turmeric
1 tsp minced garlic
Recipe:
Slice stems off lion’s mane mushrooms.
Chop into 1-inch thick slices.
Cook the mushrooms on med-high heat in a skillet with no oil for 5 mins. This helps pull out the moisture to give it a nice meaty texture. While the mushrooms cook, make your teriyaki sauce.
Mix 1/8 cup coconut aminos, 1 tsp fresh grated ginger, 1 tsp fresh grated turmeric, and 1 clove of minced garlic.
Mix ingredients together.
Add 1 tsp olive oil to the pan and flip the mushrooms.
Cook for 2 mins on low heat. Remove from heat, toss in glaze, enjoy!!!
Note: your best bet for finding lion’s mane mushrooms is your local natural foods store, Whole Foods, or checking your local farmers market!
